Ben Anderson

Principal Research Scientist at BRANZ

Ben Anderson is a highly experienced Principal Research Scientist currently at BRANZ since January 2024. Previously, Anderson held the position of Principal Research Fellow in the Sustainable Energy Research Group at the University of Southampton from September 2012, where the focus was on strategic social science research related to domestic water and energy consumption patterns. Anderson's work also includes a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Global Fellowship at the University of Otago, analyzing electricity demand profiles through combined data from various sources. Earlier roles involved significant contributions at the Lancaster Environment Centre, University of Essex as Deputy Director of the Centre for Research in Economic Sociology and Innovation, and multiple research positions at BT R&D and Loughborough University. Anderson holds a PhD in Computer Studies from Loughborough University and a BSc in Biology and Computer Science from the University of Southampton.
