Chris Litten

Chris Litten is an experienced research and management professional currently serving as a Committee Member for Early Career Researchers at the CIB since January 2020 and as General Manager of Research at BRANZ since November 2015, where Chris leads initiatives aimed at improving Aotearoa NZ's building system. Previously, Chris held several significant positions including Group Manager at the Institute of Environmental Science and Research Ltd, where notable achievements included rebuilding a group post-restructure, and Business Development Manager for Environmental Health at ESR, where Chris successfully increased revenue by over $1 million. Other roles include Member Engagement Manager at REANNZ, Central Regional Manager at the Foundation for Research Science and Technology, General Manager of GlycoSyn Technologies, Associate Director at Medivir AB, and Group Leader at Karo Bio AB. Chris holds a Ph.D. in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry from the University of Canterbury and complementary qualifications in General Management and Management from the University of Otago, The Open University, and the University of Bern.
