Mark Jones

Mark Jones serves as the Research Team Leader for the Building Performance Team at BRANZ, focusing on advancing knowledge in areas such as Indoor Air Quality, ventilation, thermal insulation, and moisture-related challenges in buildings. Previously, Mark has held key roles including Building Performance Manager and Senior Scientist at BRANZ, where responsibilities encompassed coordinating research, testing, and consultancy services related to building materials and performance. Prior experience includes work as a Polymer Scientist at Industrial Research Ltd and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Lancaster University, where Mark specialized in the chemical modification of polymers. Mark holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Durham University and a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham.
