David Young

David Young is currently the Associate Fellow and Head of Pathway Discovery at Braskem America. They previously held roles as an Associate Head of Microbial Engineering and Senior Program Director at Ginkgo Bioworks, Inc. David has extensive experience in scientific leadership, having served as a Senior Scientist and Project Manager at DSM - Microbia, and as a Senior Scientist and Group Leader at Pronutria. They earned a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology from Yale University, where they were also a graduate student. Earlier in their career, David completed post-doctoral research at Harvard Medical School and held positions at Greenlight Biosciences Inc. and other organizations.
