Scott Mitchell

Scott Mitchell is an accomplished professional in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as the Global Director of Catalysis and Biotechnology at Braskem since August 2017. Prior to this role, Scott held various leadership positions at SABIC, including Director of Research for the Future Feedstocks Department and Manager of Catalyst & Chemical Technology, overseeing research programs related to heterogeneous catalysis. Scott's career also includes significant contributions at DuPont, BOC Gases, Huntsman, Monsanto, and Union Carbide, with a focus on catalyst technology and selective oxidation processes. Educationally, Scott earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.
