Mel Herbert

Mel Herbert has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Mel began their career at Precision Fabricating as a Journeyman Machinist/Toolmaker from an unspecified start date until November 1985. Mel then joined Barfield Manufacturing, where they held various positions including Maintenance Manager from November 1985 to July 1986, Process Engineer from July 1986 to November 1989, and Assistant Plant Manager from November 1989 to November 1991. Mel subsequently moved to Brazeway, where they served in different roles such as TPM Manager from November 1991 to May 2001, Operations Manager from May 2001 to May 2005, Corporate Lean Leader from May 2005 to January 2011, Director of Continuous Improvement from January 2011 to October 2014, Director of Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement from October 2014 to January 2016, and currently holds the position of Director of Manufacturing Engineering since January 2016.

Mel Herbert attended The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business in 2005, where they studied Lean Six Sigma. Furthermore, Mel Herbert has obtained additional certifications in Lean Management from Max M. Fisher College of Business, The Ohio State University, and in Six Sigma Green Belt from Six Sigma Canada Inc.
