Michael Smith

Michael Smith is an experienced education professional currently serving as a Literacy Instructor for Brazos County since 2016. In addition to this role, Michael has been the President and CEO of Smith Educational Services since 2005. Previous positions include Dean of Academic Affairs at ITT Technical Institute from 2011 to 2016, Director of Education at Miller-Motte College in 2010-2011, Associate Director of Education at Daymar College from 2005 to 2010, and Evening Director of Education at Decker College from 2000 to 2005. Michael holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Higher Education Leadership from Capella University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English from the University of Louisville.
