Judith Spitz

Founder at Break Through Tech

Judith Spitz has a strong and diverse work experience history. Judith founded and served as the Executive Director of Break Through Tech in 2016, leading initiatives to accelerate gender equality in the tech industry. Judith also created and directed the Women in Technology and Entrepreneurship in New York Initiative (WiTNY) program at Cornell Tech. Judith has served as an Advisor at ASAPP and is currently the Director at Noodle. Prior to these roles, they were the Chief Information Officer at Verizon for over a decade, overseeing IT organizations and leading successful integration efforts. Judith also worked as a Research Associate and Adjunct Professor at the City University of New York.

Judith Spitz earned a Bachelor's Degree in Audiology/Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathology/Pathologist from Boston University in 1976. Judith then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Speech and Language Communications at Washington University in St. Louis from 1976 to 1978. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The Graduate Center, City University of New York from 1979 to 1983.
