Casey Wiens is an experienced sport biomechanist with a strong background in research, teaching, and applied biomechanics. Currently serving as a Sport Biomechanist and Consultant at BreakAway Data since May 2021, Casey previously worked as a Graduate Assistant at the University of Southern California from August 2017 to May 2022, where research focused on improving performance for USA Track and Field athletes and analyzing basketball shooting biomechanics. Earlier roles include Laboratory Technician and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and Sports Performance Specialist at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital. Casey holds a PhD in Integrative and Evolutionary Biology with an emphasis on biomechanics from the University of Southern California, a Master's in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and a Bachelor's in Exercise Science from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
