Emily Mercer

Emily Mercer is currently working as a Spanish and Italian Interpreter and Translator at Breaking Barriers since October 2023. Prior to this role, Emily was an Editorial Assistant at HarperCollins Publishers, where Emily also undertook an internship as a Collins Learning Intern. Emily has previous experience as a Waitress at Nova Restaurant and held multiple roles at The UoB Linguist Magazine including Chair, Italian Editor, Writer, Life and Style Editor, and Secretary. Emily also completed a traineeship at Comtec Translations. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from the University of Birmingham and has completed additional language courses in Spanish and Italian at Universidad de Alcalá and Università degli Studi di Padova.
