Benoît Chenu

Benoit Chenu is a seasoned naval architect with extensive experience in project management and naval architecture, currently serving as Principal at Breakingwave Services since January 2017. Prior to this role, Benoit worked as Lead Hydrodynamics at d2m Engineering, focusing on vessel design and hydrodynamic analysis from April 2011 to December 2016. Benoit also held a position as Naval Architect at Umoe Mandal AS, where work included the design of air cushion vessels and free-fall impact modeling from March 2009 to February 2011, and previously at Wärtsilä Ship Design Norway, conducting stability calculations and ship conversion projects from March 2006 to February 2009. Benoit holds a Master’s degree in Marine Engineering from Centrale Méditerranée, obtained from 1999 to 2002. Skills include naval architecture, hydrodynamics, stability calculations, and expertise in a variety of industry tools.
