Stephen Michaels has extensive experience in the tech industry. Stephen began their career in 1995 as a Member of Technical Staff at AT&T, where they performed design and integration of mechanical subsystems on naval submarines at Bell Labs. In 1998, they moved to General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems as a Member of Technical Staff and architected a novel submarine system consisting of an array of smart sensors. In 2000, they joined Fusebox Inc. as Director of Strategic Services and CTO, where they leveraged their background in product development and resource and risk management to position Fusebox as a thought leader with clients in finance and ecommerce. In 2010, they became the Chief Technology Officer of Siftee, a social media discovery and curation service. Finally, in 2014, they were appointed Chief Executive Officer at Breakline Digital, where they focused the Breakline team on digital transformation solutions used to acquire, retain, and grow customers across a variety of best in class platforms.
Stephen Michaels has a diverse educational background. Stephen holds an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management, an MSE from The University of Texas at Austin, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Rutgers University. In addition, they have obtained certifications from Google (Google Analytics and Google AdWords Certified), Salesforce (Accredited Sales Professional), and The Project Management Institute (PMP).
