Philip Riddick

Philip Riddick is an experienced instructional coach and teacher with a strong background in education and community service. Currently serving as an Instructional Coach at Breakthrough Collaborative since March 2021, Philip manages a team of teacher leaders, providing lesson planning guidance and professional development. As a teacher at YES Prep Public Schools since August 2019, Philip developed a digital media curriculum that integrated state standards and student interests. Previous roles include serving as a Campus Ambassador and Corps Member for Teach For America, where Philip was recognized for a commitment to educational equity, and as an Office Associate at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Philip’s leadership experience extends to positions such as Director of Staff Recruitment and Retention at the City of Norfolk Summer Leadership Camp. Philip holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has participated in various initiatives to foster educational access and community engagement.
