Riley Wheaton

Math Teaching Fellow At Learningworks/breakthrough Collaborative at Breakthrough Collaborative

Riley Wheaton is an experienced educator and leader with a strong background in teaching mathematics and conducting research on campus climate. Currently serving as a Math Teaching Fellow at Breakthrough Collaborative since June 2019, Riley has developed and implemented an innovative curriculum for diverse groups of middle school students, taught extracurricular mock trial courses, and worked collaboratively with faculty to support school norms. As Co-Chair of the Haverford College Clearness Committee, Riley has led a campus climate study, overseeing survey design and data analysis, and producing a comprehensive report. Prior experience includes roles as a Dorm Supervisor and Intern at the Minnesota Institute for Talented Youth, and an Intern at Capitol Hill Gifted and Talented Magnet. Riley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Haverford College.
