Laura Li is an accomplished leader in the field of genomics, serving as the Founder of Breakthrough Genomics since 2018. Prior to this role, Laura acted as the Clinical Lab Director at Illumina from 2016 to 2018 and contributed as the Associate Director of the Genomics Lab at Children's Hospital Los Angeles from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, Laura held a faculty position at the University of Southern California during the same timeframe. Laura's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Genetics from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a fellowship at Caltech.
