David Mitchell

David Mitchell currently serves as a Lived Experience Member on the Scientific Advisory Council at Breakthrough T1D UK since May 2023. In addition, David is the Senior Global Payment Partnerships Lead for the UK and Nordics at GoCardless, a position held since September 2021. Previously, David worked at Vocalink, a Mastercard company, as Product Director overseeing the Bacs and Faster Payments product portfolios from April 2018 to May 2021. Earlier in David's career, significant roles included CASS Product Manager at Bacs Payment Schemes Limited, focusing on the Current Account Switch Service, and Fraud Project Manager at Financial Fraud Action UK Limited, managing industry fraud awareness initiatives. David's experience also includes a Senior Analyst position at the National Fraud Authority, managing fraud and AML initiatives, and roles at the Institution of Civil Engineers as Digital Manager and Education Manager. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Plymouth.
