Alan Smith

Alan Smith has extensive experience in the chemical distribution and sales industries, currently serving as the Sr. Director of Focus Industries and Services at Brenntag since January 2008. Smith oversees key industries such as Agriculture, Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF), Battery/Semiconductor, and Mining. Prior to this role, Smith held positions at Brenntag including Vice President for DEF and Diesel Exhaust Fluid Business Development Manager, contributing to the company’s status as the largest DEF distributor globally. Earlier, from January 2003 to January 2008, Smith was the North American Sales Director at Gentech International, focusing on sales of sensors for the trucking industry. Smith holds a degree in Business Marketing from Ohio University, obtained between 1980 and 1984.
