BRENTEC Investments Ltd (“BRENTEC”) is a biopharmaceutical company in Uganda that delivers high quality, affordable biologics, and health solutions. It was founded in 2009. We are guided by the ONE HEALTH philosophy. One Health is a collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary approach working at the local, regional, national, and global levels with the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes recognizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment. Our focal entry point into this market sector is through development of health solutions for livestock. Livestock keeping is a key strategic entry point to promoting the livestock industry sector in Africa. Livestock keeping is seen as one of the most strategic solutions to rural poverty in Africa and vaccination plays an important role in the health management of livestock. This initiative is currently nurtured at the Uganda Industrial Research Institute (UIRI) as part of the institute’s business incubation programme.
