Roy Winter has served as the Associate Executive Director of Global Mission and Service at Church of the Brethren, Inc. since 2001, providing executive leadership for disaster and volunteer programs, including the coordination of the Children’s Disaster Services program and direction of Brethren Disaster Ministries. From 2008 to 2012, Roy Winter was a Board Member of Church World Service, where responsibilities included serving as First Vice-Chair and Chair of the Planning Committee. Additionally, Roy Winter was a member of the Board of Directors for the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster from 2006 to 2009, holding the position of Treasurer. Prior to these roles, Roy Winter worked as a School Psychologist at Sedgwick County Area Educational Services Interlocal Cooperative from 1992 to 2001, focusing on special needs education and case management. Educational qualifications include an Education Specialist degree in School Psychology from The University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from McPherson College.
