Jonas Gebhardt is a seasoned software engineer and technical leader with extensive experience in building and scaling technology solutions. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Brex since December 2021, Jonas focuses on solving high-priority business challenges through engineering, data, AI, and design while leading a team of approximately 35 engineers within the Platform organization. Prior to this role, Jonas acted as an Advisor & Builder for early-stage startups since 2019 and was a Founding Engineer at Vori, a Y Combinator-backed wholesale grocery platform. Jonas also held significant positions at Facebook and Instagram, contributing to the development of the Nuclide IDE and various user interface projects. As a co-founder of Swrm, Jonas promoted crowd-sourced feedback for designers. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in IT Systems Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction from the Hasso Plattner Institute.
