Ruth Shaffer is an accomplished Senior Product Designer with extensive experience in creating user-centered designs for leading companies, currently serving at Brex since June 2022. At Brex, Ruth leads design initiatives focused on identity and access management while also overseeing the development of robust custom roles. Previous achievements include winning the Brex Design Clarity Cultivator Award and the first place in a hackathon for a project aimed at optimizing global expansion. Prior to Brex, Ruth contributed as a Senior Product Designer at Skillz Inc., where contributions included leading redesigns and rebuilding the design system, as well as winning honors for innovative projects. Ruth's early career featured internships at notable companies such as Roblox, VICE Media, and NVIDIA, along with co-founding Creative Labs at UCLA. Ruth holds a BA in Design Media Arts and a BS in Cognitive Science from UCLA.
