Theresa Ma is an accomplished Engineering Manager currently overseeing a product team of backend, frontend, and mobile engineers at Brex, focusing on Spend Management since April 2023. Prior to Brex, Theresa held the position of Engineering Manager at Stripe, specializing in Design Systems, from September 2021 to November 2022. While at Yelp from May 2015 to September 2021, Theresa led the establishment and expansion of cross-platform Design Systems and Accessibility teams, as well as spearheading redesign efforts of Yelp's core consumer experience. Earlier roles at Yelp included Engineering Lead, Software Engineer, and Engineering Intern, where significant contributions were made to the design system and core products. Theresa began her career at StackAdapt as a Front End Web Developer after earning an Hon. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Toronto, with a focus on Cognitive Science and a minor in Philosophy.
