Mathieu Debure is currently the Head of Unit “Impacts, monitoring and safety of underground uses” at BRGM, where research activities encompass experiments, characterization, and reactive transport modeling related to water/rock/gas interactions and materials degradation. Their expertise is centered on nuclear waste storage, oil and gas, mine tailings, the critical zone, and environmental pollution. Previously, Mathieu worked as an Engineer in materials sciences at CEA and as an Engineer in geochemistry and environment at Néodyme. Mathieu holds a Ph.D. in Hydrology and Water Resources Science from Ecole nationale supérieure des Mines de Paris and has two Engineer's degrees in Materials Sciences from ENSIL-ENSCI.
