Kaanan Shah

Kaanan Shah is a human geneticist and statistician with over 15 years of experience in statistical genetics, focusing on the analysis of large-scale genomics data to understand complex human diseases. They have worked in various fields, including cancer genetics, psychiatric genetics, and neurogenetics, and have served in leadership roles at organizations such as Tempus, Inc. and BridgeBio. Kaanan holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles, as well as a Master of Arts in Statistics and a PhD in Human Genetics from the University of Michigan. They currently work as a Principal Statistical Geneticist at BridgeBio, where they manage a cross-functional team to explore new therapeutic areas for investment and drug development.
