Eric East

Eric East has held various software engineering roles since 2001. Eric'smost recent role was as a Software Engineer at Boeing, where they started in 2018. There, they led the DevSecOps migration from custom build and deploy scripts to automated pipelines using Jenkins/docker/docker swarm, and created reusable pipeline patterns for rapid and consistent GITOPS deliverables. Prior to that, they were a Ground System Software Architect at BridgeComm, Inc. (2017), Software Engineer at Fannie Mae (2016), Integration Architect at OSG (2015), Master Software Engineer at Capital One (2015), Technical Lead/Software Engineer at Boeing Satellite Systems (2009), Software Engineer, Iridium Satellite at Kinetx (2006), Application Software Engineer at Global InfoTek, Inc. (2005), and Software Engineer at L-3 (2004). At AOL, they were a Software Engineer/Architect from 2001-2004, and was part of a team of 10 engineers and three Business Analysts across the software development lifecycle for development of Anti-Spam Tools.

Eric East obtained a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from San Diego State University between 1983 and 1989. In 2015, they became a Certified Scrum Master (SCM). In August 2020, they obtained the CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA.
