John Patrick has extensive experience in the field of IT risk and compliance. John started their career at KPMG, where they served as an IT Advisory Services Senior, assisting Fortune 500 companies in various industries with IT risk and control reviews. John later joined KBR, Inc. as a Senior IT Auditor, where they led IT internal audit functions and performed risk analysis for the corporation. John also worked at Phillips 66 as a Senior IT Auditor, conducting IT internal audits and developing strategies for internal controls.
In 2012, John co-founded Lamphouse Media / Invelop Media, a digital ad technology company, where they served as the IT Manager and led marketing and technical initiatives. John then joined Rackspace as a Senior IT Auditor, Manager of Compliance and Risk Management, and IT Audit Manager. During their time at Rackspace, they managed a team of risk, security, and compliance specialists, launched an improved Enterprise Risk Management program, and led global IT audits.
In 2019, John co-founded The Guardsmen Group, LLC, where they served as Co-Founder, President, and Chief Information Security Officer. At The Guardsmen Group, they provided cyber fraud, IT security, risk management, IT audit, and compliance consulting and technology solutions to clients.
Most recently, John joined Bridgepoint Consulting as an IT Risk and Compliance Engagement Manager. In this role, they provide advisory services to help organizations optimize financial operations, technology utilization, and mitigate risks. Overall, John Patrick has a diverse background in IT risk and compliance, with experience in various industries and roles.
John Patrick attended the Texas McCombs School of Business from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on Management Information Systems, General. In 2010, they also obtained the CISA certification from ISACA.
