The Bridgeport Islanders operate as a professional hockey team that plays in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference in the American Hockey League. Founded in 2001 and based in Bridgeport, the Bridgeport Islanders are Southern Connecticut's only professional sports franchise. We are the proud AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders.
