Bridgeport Search is a boutique executive search firm focused on senior leadership appointments across Marine Insurance and Commercial Shipping.

We deliver discreet Executive Search and Specialist Search mandates for boards and executive teams operating within marine insurance markets and maritime finance environments, where leadership decisions carry long-term capital and institutional implications.

Our focus is deliberate. Marine insurance and commercial shipping sit at the centre of risk and capital management within maritime. Leadership appointments in these environments require sector understanding, judgement and careful evaluation, not simply process.

Bridgeport operates selectively, working on a limited number of concurrent mandates. Our work is research-led and relationship-driven, supported by active engagement across major maritime hubs including London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai and key European markets.

The firm was founded by Paul Ratcliffe. Paul has spent over 20 years delivering executive search and senior leadership recruitment, including 16 years focused within maritime markets spanning marine insurance, commercial shipping and maritime finance. Over that time he has developed long-standing relationships with shipowning platforms, marine insurers, brokers and maritime finance institutions internationally.

Bridgeport represents a deliberate shift toward deeper sector focus and more selective senior mandates across maritime capital, risk and strategy leadership roles.
