Laya Sumithra

Laya Sumithra is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in International Relations and Business Management at Syracuse University, where they also contribute as a Founders’ Scholar. In addition to their studies, Laya serves as the Founder and CEO of The Literary Diversity Initiative, curating educational resources and hosting events to promote diverse literature. They hold positions such as Fundraising Assistant at The Daily Orange and Vice President of Events & Marketing at BridgeUSA. Previously, Laya demonstrated leadership as the founder of both the Honors Choir and Model Congress at University School of Milwaukee, alongside fulfilling roles in the mock trial team.
