Daveed Benjamin

Daveed Benjamin is a systems architect, technologist, and cultural strategist dedicated to transforming the Internet into a civic space that prioritizes community governance over corporate control. As the founder of the Meta-Layer Initiative and Bridgit DAO, Daveed builds infrastructure for a decentralized, AI-assisted coordination layer known as the Metaweb. They have held leadership roles in various organizations, including serving as a Council Member for The Fountain and a Fellow at The RSA. With a strong academic foundation from Stanford University, where they earned both BS and MS degrees in Engineering, Daveed has also authored "The Metaweb: The Next Level of the Internet" and contributed significantly to movements focused on decentralization and planetary renewal. Currently, Daveed is the Digital Artifact Lead at the Library of Alexandria and PachaVerse, working on innovative protocols to enhance accessibility and interaction with digital knowledge.
