Bright Lambs is a business analysis consultancy that starts with people, not tools.

We work with engineering and manufacturing organisations where smart people are stuck in dumb systems: constant firefighting, workarounds, and “can you just” tasks that never end.

Our first job is to understand what it feels like to work in your organisation. We spend time with the people doing the work – on the shop floor, in engineering, supply chain, production, quality and finance. We listen to what’s frustrating, what’s fragile and what’s quietly brilliant, then trace those experiences back to their real causes in process, data and systems.

We don’t arrive with a slide deck and a pre-selected tool. We’re suspicious of “shiny” solutions that paper over cracks without tackling the underlying issues. Instead, we map how work really flows, surface awkward truths, and help leaders choose what to fix first based on impact, risk and capacity – not hype.

What we actually do

- Untangle messy upstream processes and broken handoffs between teams

- Make data and systems reflect how the business really works, not how the software was sold

- Design and prioritise changes that people can actually live with

- Introduce automation and AI only where the foundations are ready

That might look like value stream analysis, business process redesign, better use of PLM/ERP/CRM, clearer roles and decision points, or carefully chosen automation that removes grunt work without removing judgement.

How we’re different

We treat people problems as first-class work, not “soft stuff”

We challenge assumptions and ask the questions others tiptoe around

We care as much about adoption and behaviour change as we do about the process map

We’d rather say “you’re not ready for that tool yet” than take your money and hope for the best

Bright Lambs is for leaders who know something is fundamentally off, but don’t want another technology project that burns time, money and employee goodwill.
