About Us
Bright Planet helps families navigate the Self-Direction process with clarity, confidence, and support. We advocate, educate, and empower families every step — from eligibility, budgets, to ongoing personalized services.
Our Story
Bright Planet is a licensed Self-Direction brokerage serving families across New York. We specialize in OPWDD eligibility, budget planning, and personalized service coordination, ensuring each individual receives the funding and support they deserve. With a multilingual team, we turn complexity into clarity and potential into opportunity.
Self-direction puts the individual at the center of decision-making. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all program, people choose who supports them, what services they receive, and how they are delivered. This freedom encourages independence, builds confidence, and allows individuals to thrive in ways traditional systems often cannot.
Our clients’ success stories illustrate the power of personalized support. From young adults selecting assistants who match their lifestyle to individuals customizing mental health services and wellness activities, Bright Planet ensures every support plan reflects unique goals, preferences, and needs. This approach fosters greater independence, improved health outcomes, stronger social connections, and more participation in community life.
Our Mission
Empowering individuals and families through personalized, self-directed support that promotes independence, choice, and meaningful community engagement. Bright Planet helps people take control of their lives by selecting services that fit their unique needs, fostering confidence, well-being, and personal success.
Our Vision
A world where everyone can thrive through self-directed support, making choices that reflect their goals and preferences. Bright Planet envisions a society where every person has freedom and resources to design their path toward independence, community integration, and personal fulfillment.
