Steve Dossick has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Steve co-founded BrightCanary in 2021 and served as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Prior to that, they worked at T-Mobile as the Senior Director of Advertising Products from 2019 to 2021, leading product, engineering, and data science teams. Steve was also a co-founder and CTO of PushSpring, Inc. from 2013 to 2019, where they created an audience marketplace for advertisers. Before this, they founded Act Local Media in 2011, where they served as CTO and focused on developing products for publishers and writers. Steve also held positions as Vice President and CTO at Zumobi from 2006 to 2011, Software Design Engineer/Architect at Microsoft Corp. from 2003 to 2006, and Architect at BEA Systems from 2002 to 2003. Furthermore, they co-founded Martian Technology in 2001, developing the world's first home file server. Their career began as Chief Architect and CTO at KnowNow, Inc. from 2000 to 2002, where they pioneered software technology for live web sites. In 1999, Steve co-founded iPal, Inc., focusing on personalized news delivery.
Steve Dossick has a strong educational background in the field of Computer Science. Steve obtained their Ph.D. in Computer Science from Columbia University, where they studied from 1997 to 2000. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, during the period of 1997 to 1999. Steve's educational journey in the field began with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science from Columbia University, which they completed between 1992 and 1997.
