Stu Phillips

Stu Phillips is a Board Member at BrightEdge. Stu was previously a Managing Manager at Bay Partners from January 2010 to December 2020. Stu was brought in by the Limited Partners in 2010 to restructure the management company and maximize the value in the two remaining funds (~$700M of committed capital). Stu coordinated a small team of investment professionals to support and develop portfolio companies and maximize the returns to Bay's investors. Stu returned multiples of the capital commitments and liquidated the final assets in early 2020.

Bay Partners was one of the oldest and most successful venture firms in Silicon Valley with a focus on Software and Saas investments. Exited investment in portfolio companies include Cornerstone On Demand, Eloqua, Guidewire Software, Enphase, Mulesoft, Paraccel and Zenprise... among a lot of other greats! Prior to that, they were a General Partner at US Venture Partners from June 1997 to October 2005 and VP Central Engineering at Cisco Systems, Inc from October 1993 to June 1997.

Stu Phillips has a BS in EE from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd. Stu also has a B.S. in Electronics from Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd.
