Ed Jones

Ed Jones has a background in software engineering, beginning with their studies at the Dublin Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2015. In 2015, they began working as a Software Engineer at Brite:Bill. From 2017 to 2019, they were a Software Engineer at Bonial.com, where they worked on refactoring legacy monolithic structure to more manageable microservices structure using Spring Boot and gained experience with AWS. In 2019, they joined Brightflag as a Senior Frontend Developer, spearheading the change over to newer technologies in the frontend and using React, in combination with webpack, node, and npm to unify application to an SPA. Ed also worked as a Fullstack Software Developer, creating features from persistence all the way up to presentation layer, using Mysql, Java (Spring, junit for testing etc), Angular 1.x & JSP, with migrations to react.

Ed Jones attended Newbridge College in Newbridge, Co.Kildare, from 2004 to 2010, where they obtained their Leaving Certificate. Ed then attended Technological University Dublin from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a degree in Computer and Communications Engineering.
