Markus Mäkelä

Markus Mäkelä is a Senior Cloud Data Engineer currently writing a master's thesis at Turku School of Economics on economic forecasting using LSTM and GRU networks. With a background in economics, math, finance, and accounting, Markus has accumulated extensive experience in coding, primarily with Python, as well as C#, YAML, R, and MATLAB. They have worked at Efima, transitioning from accounts payable to RPA and data science, and are currently creating data solutions at Dooap. Markus also spent a summer studying mathematical modeling and behavioral corporate finance at Harvard University and enjoys playing various sports and music in their free time.
