Stuart Studsrud

Stuart Studsrud has extensive work experience in the field of accounting. Stuart'smost recent position was as the Director of Technical Accounting at BrightNight, a role they have held since July 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Technical Accounting Manager at New Fortress Energy from August 2022 to July 2023. Before that, Stuart held the role of Technical Accounting Director at ENGIE North America Inc. from September 2019 to August 2022, and at Smithfield Foods from April 2019 to September 2019. Stuart also worked as the Senior Technical Accounting Manager at Centrica from November 2011 to April 2019. Stuart's earlier experience includes working as an IFRS Project Manager at the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) from July 2009 to September 2011, and as an Audit Manager at BDO in Australia from June 2004 to July 2009. Stuart began their career as an Audit Senior at Hardie Caldwell LLP from September 2001 to June 2004, and at Ritchie Shortt & Tully LLP from February 1998 to May 1999. Prior to that, they worked as an Audit and Tax Specialist at Stephen j sutherland from January 1997 to February 1998.

Stuart Studsrud completed their degree in Accounting from St. Lawrence College from 1994 to 1997. Stuart then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and Finance from Glasgow Caledonian University between 1999 and 2001. Stuart Studsrud became a Chartered Accountant in 2004 through ICAS - The Professional Body of CAs. Stuart is currently pursuing a certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy, expected to be completed in 2023.
