Vivek Vig

Vivek Vig has extensive work experience in the energy industry, focusing on project management, development, and engineering. Vivek held various roles at Calpine, including Director of Project Management & Development, where they managed the development of new projects to expand the company's renewable portfolio. Vivek also led the design and development of natural gas power projects and provided solutions to customers interested in steam and load offtake opportunities. Prior to Calpine, they worked at Black & Veatch as a Mechanical Engineer, delivering engineering solutions for power projects. Vivek also worked as a Technical Consultant at ACWA Power, where they were responsible for technology selection and conducting design reviews for cogeneration plants. Earlier in their career, Vivek worked at Subaru of Indiana Automotive and JT Thorpe, gaining experience in production control and project engineering respectively. Overall, Vivek has a strong background in power project development, renewable energy, and engineering.

Vivek Vig completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Before their college years, Vivek completed their high school education at Woodstock. Additionally, they hold a Professional Engineering License from the Kansas Board of Professional Engineers, obtained in 2011, and a Six Sigma Green Belt Training Certificate from Black & Veatch, obtained in October 2010.
