Greg Phillips

Greg Phillips has been in the software development industry since 2004. Greg began their career at Andrew Corporation as a Developer, where they worked on a mobile network optimization suite using Java/JEE. Greg then moved to Riskaware in 2006, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and led a small team in preparing a prototype tool for a customer presentation. After that, they worked at Lockheed Martin as a Senior Software Engineer, providing enterprise solutions for a government client. In 2012, they joined Gresham Computing as a Senior Software Developer, producing a reconciliation engine for Financial Services. Greg also worked at QA Systems as a Technical Sales Consultant, responsible for account management, demonstrations, and direct sales of Cantata and AdaTEST95 testing tools. In 2014, they worked at both Vistair Systems Ltd and Gresham Computing, as a Software Developer and QA Developer, respectively. In 2016, they joined Jordans Limited as a Senior Java Developer. Finally, in 2019, they joined Brightpearl as a Senior Developer.

Greg Phillips obtained a BSc in Philosophy from the London School of Economics between 1994 and 1998, with a focus on Philosophy of Science, Logic and Metaphysics, and Continental Philosophy (19th and 20th Centuries). Greg then went on to earn an MSc in Computer Science from Bristol University between 1999 and 2000, specializing in conversion. In addition, Greg Phillips has obtained a number of certifications from LinkedIn, including Leading with Emotional Intelligence (June 2022), Tech Career Skills: Moving from Developer to Engineering Manager (June 2022), Diversity Recruiting (February 2022), Scrum: Advanced (June 2021), Cert Prep: Scrum Master (March 2021), Agile at Work: Driving Productive Agile Meetings (January 2021), Agile at Work: Getting Better with Agile Retrospectives (January 2021), Agile at Work: Planning with Agile User Stories (January 2021), and Bystander Training: From Bystander to Upstander (September 2020).
