Chad Harbaugh has a long and varied work experience. Chad began their career in 2003 as a Telecom Technician (temp/contract) at Black Box Network Services, where they removed old network cable from a 3-story building and pulled in new cat 5 cable to cubicles and terminated in wall boxes. In 2004, they began working as an Install Technician - Mac at Sweetwater Sound, where they installed software and hardware, configured computer systems for use in audio & video production, and updated software/firmware on various devices. In 2008, they began working as a Freelance Audio Engineer at RemedyLIVE, where they set up PA and mixed bands and speakers at concerts and youth events and loaded gear in trailers, drove to event locations. In 2012, they began working for Adventures in Missions on The World Race. In 2013, they began working in the office of Adventures in Missions for Venture Magazine, doing photography and video and editing videos for the marketing department and CGA. In 2014, they became the IT Director at BrightPipe, where they deployed and supported AV and other technology products for clients exhibiting at trade shows, including LED video walls, digital signage, Christie Microtile video walls, touchscreen interactive displays, audio systems, wired and wireless LAN and 4G/5G WAN. Chad also consulted on design, planning, and execution of AV at events.
Chad Harbaugh attended St Clair TEC from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained their High School degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Chad then attended Cornerstone University from 1999 to 2001, without obtaining a degree. Finally, they attended Full Sail University from 2001 to 2002 and obtained an Associate of Science (AS) in Recording Arts Technology/Technician. In June 2020, they also obtained the AV Technologist certification from AVIXA.
