Joelle Vail

Joelle Vail is the current Chief Revenue Officer at BrightPlan. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Operating Officer at Capital Factory from February 2020 to February 2022. Before that, they were the Chief Alliance Officer at Ascentis Human Capital Management Software from October 2012 to January 2020.

Vail began their career at Paychex, Inc. in August 1996 as a Sales Representative in Sacramento, CA. Joelle quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Field Sales Manager in Tampa, FL in 2000, a District Sales Manager in 2001, and eventually a Regional Sales Manager in 2004. As a Regional Sales Manager, they were responsible for positive unit growth and consistently ranked in the top three in Regional performance. In 2011, they were hand-picked by the Executive VP of sales to lead multiple training programs - one of which received national praise.

In 2012, Vail left Paychex to become the Chief Alliance Officer at Ascentis Human Capital Management Software. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies for Ascentis’ ecosystem of technology partners and alliances.

Most recently, Vail served as the Chief Operating Officer at Capital Factory from February 2020 to February 2022. In this role, they were responsible for leading and executing on the company’s vision and strategy.

Vail is a proven leader with a track record of success in both sales and operations. Joelle is passionate about developing talent and has a demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams.

Joelle Vail has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Rochester and a Certificate of Management from University of Rochester - Simon Business School.
