Matea Varvodic

Matea Varvodic is an accomplished nonprofit leader with extensive experience in external affairs, fundraising, and strategic partnerships. As the Senior Director of External Affairs at OneGoal since December 2018, Matea has successfully set a multi-year vision to support a $6M annual fundraising goal and organized a Gala that raised over $1M. In addition to overseeing donor relations and event execution, Matea also leads the regional Marketing & Communications function and supervises development staff. As the founder and President of MV Strategy Inc since June 2015, Matea has provided innovative consulting services to nonprofits in Chicagoland, focusing on fundraising and communications. Previous roles include Director of Early Childhood Education Partnerships at Teach For America and various positions at Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, where strategic planning and community outreach were key functions. Matea holds a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and advanced degrees from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Carthage College.
