Mike Shaver

Mike Shaver has a diverse and extensive work experience. Mike is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer at Brightpoint since July 2019. Prior to that, they held the same position at the Children's Home Society of Florida from September 2014 to June 2019. Mike was also the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Children's Home + Aid from April 2007 to September 2014.

Before their time at Children's Home + Aid, Mike Shaver worked as the Deputy Director at Fostering Results, where they collaborated with the Pew Charitable Trusts on child welfare financing reform from an unknown start date to an unknown end date, specifically focusing on coalition building, networking, and policy analysis.

Mike'sextensive experience in the child welfare field also includes serving as the Deputy Director, Budget, Research and Planning at the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Mike provided senior leadership in budget, research, and planning activities from an unknown start date to an unknown end date. Notably, they played a key role in implementing performance-based contracting, federal waivers, and launching new initiatives in the private sector.

Earlier in their career, Mike Shaver worked as a Policy Associate at the Ounce of Prevention Fund from an unknown start date to an unknown end date.

Mike Shaver has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Colorado College, which they obtained from 1987 to 1991. Mike also holds a Master's degree in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Chicago, which they earned from 1994 to 1996.
