Tim Whaley is an experienced professional in public and government affairs, currently serving as the Director of Public & Government Affairs at BrightRidge since October 2017 and at the Johnson City Power Board since July 2015. Previously, Tim held the position of Community & Government Relations Director for the City of Kingsport from February 2007 to July 2015, and worked as Field Director for both the Tennessee Republican Party and The Hon. William H. Frist, U.S. Senate. Additionally, Tim served as Campaign Manager for Richard Venable for Congress and as a Political Reporter for Kingsport Times-News. Tim's career began in journalism with a role as a General Assignment Reporter at Johnson City Press. Tim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications from East Tennessee State University between 1990 and 1994.
