Chuan Wang

Chuan Wang is an experienced bioinformatics professional currently serving as the Director of Computation at Brightseed since July 2018, where leadership includes a team focused on leveraging computational biology and chemistry to enhance human life through plant research. Prior to this role, Chuan held positions as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist and Bioinformatics Scientist at JUST, contributing significantly by authoring a machine learning patent and developing data processing pipelines. Chuan's research background includes a postdoctoral associate role at the Carnegie Institution for Science, where the focus was on machine learning pipelines for genome analysis, and extensive research during a Ph.D. at China Agricultural University. Chuan Wang holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and a BSc in Biology from China Agricultural University.
