Ernie Sachs has over 35 years of experience in the engineering and product development fields. Ernie started their career in 1985 as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Motorola ISG (Codex). In 1991, they joined EMC Corporation as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, where they were responsible for the design architecture of the Symmetrix flagship product line. In 1996, they became the General Manager at Techdyne Inc. and in 2000 they were a Principal NPI Engineer at Avici Systems. In 2003, they joined ZOLL Medical Corporation as the NPI Manager. In 2009, they became a Project Manager at Olympus Surgical Technologies of America (formally Gyrus ACMI). In 2012, they were the Director of Mechanical Engineering at Medrobotics and in 2014 they became the Senior Engineering Manager of NPI and Test Engineering at Medtronic Brain Therapies. Finally, in 2017 they joined Cytiva (formerly GE Life Sciences) as the Senior Engineering Manager of Bioprocess R&D and in 2023 they became the Vice President of Product Development at BrightSpec, Inc.

Ernie Sachs holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, a Certificate in Program Management from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, a Certificate in Lean Manufacturing from UMass Boston, and a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification from Motorola University Corporate Training, which they received in 1989.
