Michael Balek

Michael Balek has a diverse work experience in the networking field. Michael is currently working as a Principal Network Engineer at Brightspeed since October 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Calix from December 2019 to October 2023, where they held roles such as Senior Network System Engineer and Network Systems Engineer II. Michael also worked at CenturyLink from February 2019 to December 2019, where they held roles such as Outside Plant Engineer, Business System Technician, Communications Technician, and Install and Repair Technician. Throughout their career, Michael has gained extensive knowledge and experience in working with various networking technologies and equipment, including switches, routers, and voice products.

Michael Balek holds an Associate of Applied Business in Network Communications Technology from Lorain County Community College. Michael has obtained several certifications including Client Pro from TestOut Corporation, Avaya AIPS from Avaya, CCNA Routing and Switching from Cisco, System Installer UCSI from ShoreTel, System Programmer UCSP from ShoreTel, and Network+ from CompTIA.
