Ann Mayes

Ann Mayes is a Statewide DeafBlind Education Specialist at BrightWorks, with extensive experience in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. They served as a Lead Teacher and Dean of Special Education at Intermediate School District 917 from 2002 to 2019, where they taught diverse student populations and facilitated IEP teams. Previously, Ann was a Teacher of Deaf/Hard of Hearing at both Metro Deaf School and Intermediate District 287, where they played a key role in curriculum development and program management. Ann earned their Master of Arts in Advanced Studies in Deaf Education from Gallaudet University and a Bachelor of Science in Deaf Education and Elementary Education from Minot State University.
