Dave Lyons has had a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dave is currently working as a Senior Data Engineer at Brigit since May 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Success Academy Charter Schools for four years as a Senior Data Engineer, where they led the technology team strategy for data warehousing and BI. Dave also managed the delivery of data reporting crucial for receiving over $75 million in funding.

Before that, Dave worked at Edanz Group Ltd as a Data Integration Architect, responsible for data modeling, acquisition, storage, handling, mapping, and curation for various products. Dave Lyons earned their Bachelor's Degree in History from Rice University from 1995 to 1999. Dave furthered their education at Rutgers University, where they obtained a MLIS (Master's degree in Library and Information Sciences) from 2009 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Dave has also obtained several certifications including the Data Science Specialization from Coursera Course Certificates in February 2017, the CopyrightX Certificate of Course Completion from Harvard Law School in January 2014, and the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in October 2019.
