Chee Lee

Chee Lee has a solid background in finance and analysis with experience in various companies. Chee currently holds the role of VP FP&A at Brilliant Earth since 2021. Prior to that, they served as the Head of FP&A at Academy from 2009 to 2020, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for a $5.5B omnichannel retailer. Chee also has experience in Corporate Development, including managing the sale to Kohlberg, Kravis, & Roberts in 2011, the $1.825B term loan refinance in 2015, and the $1.8B partnership with private equity firms in 2018. Before Academy, they worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Gap Inc. from 2007 to 2009, focusing on reporting and budgeting for the Outlet division. Chee started their career as a Financial Analyst II at General Mills from 2004 to 2007.

Chee Lee received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance & Computer Science (Summa Cum Laude, GPA 3.9) from Washington University in St. Louis, where they studied from 2000 to 2004.
